Pont Europe has successfully transitioned to ISO 22000:2018 after an audit with TÜV Rheinland
Following an extended period of preparation and rigorous auditing, all divisions of Pont Europe (Pont Packaging B.V., Pont Packaging GmbH, Pont Packaging Ltd and Pont Emballage SAS) have updated their ISO status and as of December 2021, are certified with the latest version of the food safety management system, ISO 22000:2018.
ISO (The International Organisation for Standardisation) is a globally recognised standard and particularly ISO 22000 is tailored for food safety, covering businesses involved in all stages of the food supply chain and is, therefore, the most suitable standard for Pont’s customers and market sectors (predominantly the Food & Beverage and VMS/Sports Nutrition industries).
Pont worked with TÜV Rheinland, the renowned independent testing service provider, on the auditing process to take advantage of their market-leading industry experience and professionalism. The audit included inspection of the management documentation but also on-the-spot checks of activities for compliance. It covers all aspects of Pont’s business, from order processing, through warehousing and traceability, to sales aftercare requiring a pro-active cooperation between all departments.
Paul Janssen, Pont’s European Quality and ISO Manager, said: “The ISO certification is a guarantee to our customers that high food safety standards are being implemented on a daily basis and also an illustration of the stable procedures we have in place across all our European divisions. It enhances Pont’s competitiveness in the Food & Beverage and VMS sectors.”
